Zelensky will attend the G-7 meeting in June

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will participate in the G7 leaders' meeting in Italy in June, Bloomberg reported. Zelensky's office declined to comment, citing the fact that his schedule has not yet been approved.

Ukraine's president is pushing for Western countries to supply longer-range weapons that would allow Ukraine's military to strike deep into Russian territory. He participated in the G-7 leaders' summit for the second year in a row.

This year's summit will take place from June 13 to 15.

Politico reported that a group of Ukrainian diplomats visited Washington in May in an attempt to persuade the US administration to lift a ban on using their weapons to strike Russia. According to the publication, Ukraine's goal is to strike military warehouses in order to repel the advance of the Russian armed forces in the Kharkiv region./BGNES
