Zelensky in Delphi: Putin must lose in Ukraine

"Vladimir Putin must lose the pledge of terror he is trying to spread in Ukraine".

This was stated by Volodymyr Zelensky at the opening of the 9th Delphi Economic Forum, while at the same time asking for help from his country's arms partners to "break Putin's back" and win the war, Kathimerini reported.

"It is very difficult to cope alone with the challenges of an unprovoked (by our side) war.

We need the help of our partners. It is very difficult to face the enemy, and it is even more difficult to take back the territories already occupied, that is why we need unity and proper armament," he stated.

"Ukraine is not asking for much," Zelensky stressed, explaining that what his country needs are air defense systems and adequate weaponry for Ukrainian forces to advance and restore normalcy in Russian-occupied areas.

"As soon as we receive weapons and concrete political steps from our partners, we will break Putin's back," Zelensky stressed, adding that Ukraine is grateful to its partners, but the systems at its disposal are not enough, "if we really want to defeat Putin if no one wants Putin to lead the world into World War III."

"For Putin, there is no Ukraine, there is no Ukrainian people, and this speaks of only one thing - that he wants to destroy us completely", and added that the Russians hate everything outside their borders and therefore "we must isolate them, not play" "with them," Zelensky said in a conversation with Frederik Pleitgen, CNN's international correspondent in Germany.

He pointed out that everything Ukraine wants to overcome Russian forces "depends on the political will of the partners", adding that delay means human lives.

"Many human lives can be saved if there is no hesitation in making decisions," he said, expressing his gratitude to all those who help his country and to all those who visit Ukraine and see for themselves what it is about on the ground. /BGNES
