Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte the strengthening of Ukraine's air defence, the Kyiv Independent reports.
"Our talks focused on strengthening Ukraine's air defence and ensuring the credibility of the peace we are working together to achieve," Zelensky wrote on social media.
"We thank Mark, the NATO Secretary General and all our partners for their willingness to strengthen our air shield more actively and to work together for effective security guarantees," he added.
The two spoke during the two-day EU leaders' summit in Brussels.
During the two-day meeting, Zelensky is expected to meet the leaders of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the EU to discuss military and humanitarian issues ahead of the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump. | BGNES
