Sasha Vezenkov was not included in the rotation of the head coach of the Sacramento Kings Mike Brown during the Kings' win over the Minnesota Timberwolves with 124:111 in another match from NBA's In-Season Tournament.
The Kings are at the top of Western Group C after a victory in which the team's star guard De'Aaron Fox shone. He finished with 36 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 12 assists. Domantas Sabonis also excelled with a double-double - 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four other California players finished with 10 or more points - Harrison Barnes (18), Malik Monk (17), Kevin Huerter and Kessler Edwards - both with 10 each.
Anthony Edwards' 35 points were not enough for the hosts. Karl Anthony-Towns and Rudy Gobert finished with double-doubles - 27 points and 11 rebounds for Towns and 12 points and 11 boards for Gobert respectively. Troy Brown Jr. added 10, but the Wolves had to settle for defeat.
The Timberwolves remain atop the Western Conference with an 11-4 record, while the Kings are sixth with nine wins and six losses. Vezenkov's next chance to play is against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday in Kings' final group stage game of the tournament, while Minnesota faces the Memphis Grizzlies on the road in the regular season and the Oklahoma City Thunder at home in the tournament. /BGNES
