The Sacramento Kings are one win away from participating in the Western Conference playoffs in the National Basketball Association (NBA) after sending the Golden State Warriors home after a resounding 118:94 win. The Bulgarian national Alexander Vezenkov got a little over two minutes on the floor, in which he missed one shot from three and got one rebound.
Keegan Murray led the way for the Kings, scoring 32 points and finishing 8/13 from behind the arc. De'Aaron Fox added 24 points and Harrison Barnes scored 17. Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis played a traditionally strong game and finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Keon Ellis was also very helpful, finishing with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks.
On the other side, Steph Curry topped everyone for the Warriors with 22 points. However, he wasn't supported enough by his teammates, with Jonathan Kuminga scoring 16 points, as did Moses Moody off the bench, and Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green both finished with 12. Klay Thompson, however, had a nightmare day, finishing 0/10 from the field, missing all of his six three-point shots.
In contention for a playoff spot and a matchup with the West's No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento will face the New Orleans Pelicans, who fell to the LA Lakers 106-110 at home.
Three basketball players of the Californians crossed the 20-point mark, led by LeBron James with 23 - the "King" added 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Anthony Davis had a double-double - 20 points and 15 rebounds, and D'Angelo Russell finished with 21 points. The Pelicans were unable to win despite a strong performance from Zion Williamson, who finished with 40 points and 11 rebounds. Trey Murphy III added 12, Brandon Ingram finished with 11, and three others scored 10 points each – Herbert Jones, Larry Nance Jr. and Jose Alvarado.
Thus, the Lakers will face the second-seeded Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs in the West. /BGNES
