Verstappen wins convincingly Chinese Grand Prix

Red Bull's Max Verstappen took an emphatic victory in today's Chinese Grand Prix. The three-time world champion recorded the first win in Shanghai in his career and has already won at 26 different F1 circuits. Lando Norris (McLaren) came second for his 15th podium in F1 and Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez finished third.

Top 10 was also completed by Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, winner of the Australian Grand Prix, George Russell (Mercedes), Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), who grabbed an extra point for fastest lap, Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Nico Hulkenberg (Haas).

"The feeling was indescribable. We were incredibly fast all weekend. It was just a pleasure to drive these days. We handled the restarts of the race and the car was literally running on rails - I was so comfortable driving it, I could do whatever I wanted. Weekends like these are amazing and what we have achieved is fantastic", said Verstappen, highlighting the several restarts of the race that ultimately did not prevent his triumph.

He is the leader in the general classification with 110 points. Perez is in second position with 85 and Leclerc is third with 76. The next start is in Miami on the weekend of May 3-5. /BGNES
