Vance: The US should focus on the working man, not Wall Street

Newly confirmed vice presidential nominee JD Vance has pledged to defend the interests of the working class if Republicans are to return to the White House in November, AFP reported.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are done caring about Wall Street. We will dedicate ourselves to the working man,” Vance said in his keynote speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The junior senator from Ohio also aimed at China, saying China is trying to enrich its citizens at the expense of Americans.

"We will protect the wages of American workers and prevent the Chinese Communist Party from building its middle class on the backs of American citizens," he said.

America's allies were also criticized, with Vance declaring that "there will be no more free rides from nations that surrender the largesse of the American taxpayer."

"Together we will ensure that our allies share the burden of ensuring world peace." | BGNES
