In the first quarter of this year (from January to March), the US conducted 94 operations against the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) in Syria and Iraq, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.
"We conducted 94 missions to defeat IS from January to March, as a result of which 18 fighters were killed and 63 were detained," said a statement posted on the command's page in X. It noted that 66 operations were conducted in Iraq, 28 in Syria. "The pursuit of approximately 2,500 fighters in Syria and Iraq is an important component to the final defeat of IS," it said. /BGNES
