Ukraine will call up Ukrainians who have gone abroad for military service

Authorities in Kiev intend to call up Ukrainians who have gone abroad for military service next year, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov told German newspaper Bild.
"We are still discussing what will happen if they don't come (to the recruitment centers) voluntarily," he said.
We are talking about Ukrainians aged 25 to 60 who left for Germany and other countries. To begin with, the authorities will ask them to register with the military departments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Umerov promised that recruits will be informed in advance of what training they will undergo, how they will be armed, where and when they will serve. He said fairness is important in recruiting new soldiers.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference this week that his army has offered to mobilize an additional 450,000-500,000 people. According to him, such mobilization will cost Ukraine an additional 500 billion hryvnias (about 13.4 billion dollars).
Since February 2022, a general mobilization has been announced and continues in Ukraine. Men of fighting age are prohibited from traveling abroad, and summonses are served in state institutions, on the street and in public places./BGNES
