Two people were wounded after Russia launched a "massive attack" on energy infrastructure in Ukraine overnight Saturday, Kiev's armed forces and local authorities said. Moscow fired 34 missiles, of which 21 were shot down, Ukraine's armed forces said.
"The Russian armed forces launched another massive missile attack against Ukraine," the army said in its regular morning briefing. An 82-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were wounded, Alexander Vilkul, president of the Defense Council of the central city of Kryvyi Rih, told Telegram. "The enemy used various types of missiles, including ballistic missiles, and Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were hit," the army said. "Some of the missiles were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense. Several people were injured, so far there are no reports of deaths".
Power company DTEK reported that four of its thermal power plants suffered damage. /BGNES, AFP
