Tyson Fury will go to war with the Internal Revenue Service

Tyson Fury's next battle will be against the IRS after the champion and his father John were accused of evading large amounts of money.

Cheshire East Council alleges that the heavyweight champion, 35, his father, John, 59, and brother Shane, 32, owe the money on a property next to their £1 million mansion in Styal.

Magistrates will issue a court order compelling them to pay today.

If the three continue to fail to pay, they may face "enforcement actions," which means that some unlucky bailiff may be tasked with seizing the property from the boxer family.

John is a former professional boxer and bare-knuckle wrestler who served time in prison after gouging out a man's eye.

Shane was an amateur superheavyweight fighter in the past.

Tommy, the Love Island star, is one of Tyson's other boxer brothers.

The council tax demand is for land used for trailers and campers next to the family's £1 million home in Styal, Cheshire.

According to court filings, the Furies, who are worth more than £134 million, neglected to pay Cheshire East Council £82,166.85.

Tyson, Shane, and John are listed as the proprietors of the home and property on the Property Registry.

Tyson resides in Morecambe, Lancashire, whereas John lives in a gated estate.

"Often people only find out about a liability order when bailiffs are sent," said Alpha Court Chambers fixed costs expert Sarah Robson. Cases are sometimes given to judges in batches of hundreds, if not thousands, and are stamped without any actual scrutiny."

Tyson's spokesperson declined to comment./BGNES
