Trump's son-in-law will build resorts in Albania

American businessman and investor Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, who was also his adviser while in the White House, announced that he plans to invest in Albania in the tourism sector.

In an interview with Bloomberg, he stated that his investment plans include tourist sites in Sazan and Zvranets.

For the implementation of these projects and another one in Belgrade, he said that he will invest over one billion US dollars.

"The investments will be made through the company Affinity Partners with headquarters in Miami, with the support of the Arab countries, Kushner added. According to his plans, thousands of tourist accommodation places will be built in Zvrnec, while luxury accommodation hotels of the Aman brand will be built on the island of Sazan, Albanian media reported. Kushner stated that "Sazan Island is one of the most pristine and unique coasts he has ever seen in the world." He prepared the investment plan for Albania together with the former US ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell. Sazan Island is strategically located between the Strait of Otranto and the mouth of the Gulf of Valona, marking the border between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. The island of Zvrnec is almost completely covered with tall pine trees, it is a tourist attraction where the well-preserved Byzantine monastery "Holy Virgin" from the 13-14th century is located./BGNES
