Former US President Donald Trump challenged President Joe Biden to a debate, saying he was ready to take on him "anytime", NBC reported.
"It is important, for the good of our country, that Joe Biden and I discuss issues that are vital to the United States and the American people. That's why I'm calling for debates ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
“The debates can be run by the corrupt Democratic National Committee (DNC) or their affiliate, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to hearing back. Thank you for your attention to this issue!” Trump added.
Biden is expected to face his Republican predecessor in the November presidential election. He will deliver the State of the Union speech today.
Trump skipped all the debates in the Republican primary.
"The public knows who I am and what a successful presidency I've had," he argued at the time to decline debate. /BGNES
