Italy's Federica Brignone took victory in today's start of the Alpine Skiing World Cup. She won the super-giant slalom in the French winter center of Val d'Isere.
Brignone left +0.44 seconds behind Kaisa Wikhof Li from Norway on the podium, and the compatriot of the winner - Sofia Godzha, was also on the podium, remaining 59 hundredths from the first place.

After today's win, which was Brignone's third since the start of the season, she moved closer to leader Shiffrin in the Grand Crystal Globe standings - the American has a 63-point lead. Third is Gut-Behrami. In the standings for the Small Crystal Globe in the Super-G discipline, Goja leads by 15 points ahead of Brignone and by 30 ahead of Hütter.
