The Israeli army announced that three released hostages had crossed into Israeli territory, accompanied by soldiers, AFP reported.
"The released hostages crossed the border into Israeli territory a short time ago, accompanied by IDF (military) and Shin Bet (security agency) forces. The released hostages are currently on their way to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where they will undergo an initial medical examination," the military stated.
Military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the hostages were "in our hands and on their way home."
"Our hearts now go out to all the hostages who are still being held in inhumane conditions and we await their return," he added. | BGNES
