Vitaly Robertus, the vice president of Lukoil, has died at the age of 54, the company announced.
Robertus worked at the Russian energy giant for 30 years. He received state and departmental awards for his successes in the development of the domestic fuel and energy complex.
"In our memory, he will remain a talented leader, a well-rounded person and a responsive comrade. The Lukoil team expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Vitaly Vladimirovich Robertus," the company's statement, quoted by Russian state media, said.
Robertus is yet another high-ranking company official to die under unclear circumstances in recent months.
Last year, Ravil Maganov, Vice President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, fell from the sixth floor of a Moscow hospital.
Later, Maganov's successor, Vladimir Nekrasov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, died at the age of 66.
In May 2022, the former vice president and head of the main supply and sales department of Lukoil, Alexander Subotin, was also declared dead.
