The United States may announce a package of military aid to Ukraine worth up to 400 million dollars, the "Kyiv Independent" reported.
It will be the first package since last December, as US funds for Kiev have been blocked by arguments in Congress.
"Funding for this package is from credits refunded to the Pentagon for recent purchases," said a US official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
US aid to Ukraine has been delayed since the fall of 2023 as various versions of the foreign aid bill have been scuttled by disagreements over border security.
Most recently, the $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan passed the Senate with bipartisan support, but House Speaker Mike Johnson refused to bring it up for a vote.
Johnson is said to be allowing Republicans who support aid to Ukraine to work on an alternative bill that is expected to be completed by late March or early April.
The delays have led Washington to consider alternative ways to get aid to Ukraine, such as using the US military's own funds.
