Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda believes that Western countries should discuss the idea of sending troops to Ukraine, reports LRT, citing the Ukrainian agency UNIAN. "I welcomed the idea of sending missions to Ukraine and I still think we should discuss this idea. Of course, it would be best if we all unanimously agree on the need for this and very carefully evaluate the intelligence and other information that we have," he said.
Nauseda added that the determining factor in this decision cannot be the fear of a possible reaction from Moscow. "And that's why I told both President Macron and the media yesterday that we should stop drawing red lines for ourselves," the Lithuanian president said. After all, by doing this, the West helps Russian President Vladimir Putin, who then begins to think that Europeans are predictable and he can easily manipulate them, Nauseda said./BGNES
