On the eve of the second anniversary of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, the EU agreed on the 13th round of sanctions against Russia, reported AFP.
The draft proposal includes restricting exports of three mainland Chinese firms for supplies to the Russian military and blacklisting North Korea's defense minister for supplying missiles to Moscow.
The new round of measures targets around 200 officials and organizations, mainly from Russia, involved in the conflict.
EC President Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the agreement by the 27 EU countries and said it would further reduce "Russia's access to drones".
"We must continue to dismantle Putin's war machine," Von der Leyen wrote in X.
As part of the new package, the diplomats said that the EU has also imposed an asset freeze and visa ban on North Korea's Defense Minister Kang Sun Nam over the delivery of ballistic missiles to Moscow./BGNES
