The burned municipalities in Greece will receive 4.7 million euros urgently

Greece's Ministry of the Interior has decided to provide emergency funding to the eight municipalities in Attica affected by the fire.

The total amount, reaching 4.7 million euros, was agreed upon after coordination between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece and the mayors of North-Eastern Attica.

The municipalities of Penteli, Marathon, Vrilisia, Dionis and Halandri, which are the most affected by the fire, will receive the largest sums. Marathon and Penteli will receive 1 million euros each, Vrilisia - 750,000 euros, Dionysos - 650,000 euros, and Halandri - 500,000 euros.

Among the municipalities affected to a lesser extent, Oropos will receive 350,000 euros, and Rafina and Palini - 300,000 and 150,000 euros respectively. | BGNES
