The Bulgarian State Agency for National Security (SANS) banned two Russian spies from entering Bulgaria for 5 years

SANS imposed a ban on entry into the country of persons identified as illegal spies of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation.

By order of the Chairman of the SANS on 26.02.2024 to the Russian citizens Vladimir Nikolayevich Gorochkin, born on 28.12.1984 in Kaliningrad, Russian Federation, and Tatiana Anatolievna Gorochkina, born on 09.03.1986. in the village of Khvatovka, Saratov Oblast of the Russian Federation, a coercive administrative measure "ban on entry and residence in the territory of the member states of the European Union" was imposed for 5 years based on Art. 42h, para. 1, item 1 in connection with Art. 10, para. 1, item 1 and art. 44, para. 1 of the Law on Foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria, as there is evidence for both individuals that they are acting against the security of the country.

The period in which the two persons resided on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, presenting themselves as Bulgarian citizens Denis Rashkov and Diana Rashkova, using personal documents with the specified identities, was established.

SANS acquired information according to which Vladimir Gorochkin and Tatiana Gorochkina are illegal intelligence agents, participants in an operation of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation aimed at carrying out intelligence penetration by using foreign identities.

According to the data obtained, the main purpose of the presence of Vladimir Gorochkin and Tatyana Gorochkina in our country was to obtain the necessary Bulgarian identity documents and credible biographical data, confirming the authenticity of the same, which they would later use to carry out intelligence activities outside the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. /BGNES
