The Azov Brigade will collect volunteers and funds in Brussels on July 28

Members of Ukraine's 3rd Assault Brigade, which includes the famous Azov Brigade, will visit Brussels on July 28. The purpose of the visit is to recruit volunteers and collect funds, The Brussels Times reported.
The tour will cover 9 European cities, including Rotterdam, Berlin and Warsaw. Entry to the events is not free, and will provide not only an opportunity to talk with members of the brigade, but also a chance to watch Ukrainian dance performances.
According to the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), an American think tank, more than 900 voluntary recruits join the brigade every month.
3rd Assault Brigade traces its origins to the Azov Regiment.Formed as a volunteer unit in 2014, the Azov Regiment has primarily fought against Moscow-backed pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. It was originally a regiment, and later it was included in the composition of the Ukrainian National Guard as a brigade.
The Azov fighters have earned themselves the fame of heroes among Ukrainians for their tenacious defense of the Azovstal steel plant during the siege of Mariupol by the Russian army in 2022. | BGNES
