The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum begins today in Davos, Switzerland. It will last until January 19.
Under this year's theme "Rebuilding Trust", the world's political and business elite will gather to discuss future goals and cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, disinformation, diplomacy and economics.
The forum will be attended by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, French President Emmanuel Macron, his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, as well as CEOs and official representatives of enterprises from around the world. The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, will also be in the Swiss city.
Last year's event was dedicated to the sale of Russian fuels and the EU's zero-carbon measures. The US has been criticized by the EU for deciding to offer tax credits to North American electric vehicle manufacturers, threatening European electric car markets. /BGNES
