Taylor Swift reiterated her call for fans to vote in the US presidential election as she accepted MTV's video of the year award.
The honor was presented to Swift for her song "Fortnight", which also featured Post Malone. The pop star thanked her fans for giving her the award, which she won for the third year in a row, AFP reported.
"To the fans, I'm always trying to think of a way to thank you for making my life what it is. If you're over 18, please register to vote for something else that's very important," said the star, referring to the presidential election in November.
Swift, 34,'s call came just a day after she announced she would vote for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
"I'm voting for Kamala Harris because she's fighting for rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to stand up for," the singer said in a lengthy Instagram post. | BGNES
