Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce played a disappointing game on Christmas Day in front of his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift. Although he was just 76 yards away from reaching 1,000 yards on the season, he managed just 44 yards and no touchdowns, the Mirror reported.
Kansas City was defeated by their division rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, by a low score of just 14 points. It was their third loss in four games, making their road to the Super Bowl more difficult.
Kells had an opportunity to make an important achievement before Swift and failed to do so. Although he recorded his 900th career catch, he fell short of the 1,000-yard mark for the season.
Kelce is still on track for another 1,000-yard season, although his performance this year has dipped a bit compared to previous years. Still, he's one of the best defensive backs in the NFL and will look to bounce back when his team takes on the Cincinnati Bengals on New Year's Eve.
Swift could once again attend this match as the pair will reportedly spend their first Christmas together at Kells' new £4.5m mansion in Kansas City. The two have been dating for more than three months, with Swift attending seven games this season, even traveling to away games.
The pop singer flew to Nashville to spend Christmas Eve with her family before heading to Missouri for the game. It may have disrupted some of their Christmas plans, but they're ready to enjoy the rest of the holiday season together.
