Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 to a fundraiser to support the family of the woman who was shot and killed during a Super Bowl victory parade in Kansas City.
A GoFundMe page was set up a day ago to raise $75,000 for the family of Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan, who died in the shooting that also injured 22 people, including several children.
"My deepest condolences and sympathies for your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift," read the announcement of the $50,000 donation to the cause. A second donation of the same value was made minutes later.
An aide to Swift confirmed to Variety that the donations on the page were in fact from the singer.
The campaign has already raised over $200,000.
Police said the shooting on Wednesday, February 14, was the result of a "dispute" and two juveniles were among those arrested.
Up to a million jubilant fans had gathered for the NFL Champions Parade on the holiday afternoon when the shots rang out. /BGNES
