Simone Biles claimed first place in the all-around in gymnastics and won her sixth Olympic gold and second in Paris.
American Biles, already regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, made history as the first woman to regain her Olympic all-around title after capturing it in 2016.
Biles capped off another stellar performance with an electrifying floor medley of Taylor Swift's hit "Ready for It?", bringing the crowd to their feet.
Biles also led the United States to women's team gold this week.
The 27-year-old competitor will be able to add three more gold medals in Paris at the finals.
"Three years ago I never thought I'd step on a gym floor again, but I've been working hard, mentally and physically, I even saw my therapist this morning, just making sure I'm OK mentally," she said.
The stars again supported Biles, with American basketball players Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry watching her at Bercy Hall along with NBA legend Tony Parker and soccer great Zinedine Zidane.
Brazil's Rebecca Andrade took the silver and defending champion Sunisa Lee the bronze. | BGNES
