Six players will share the top scorer prize at Euro 2024. Harry Kane (England), Dani Olmo (Spain), Jamal Musiala (Germany), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands), Ivan Schrantz (Slovakia) and Georges Mikoutadze (Georgia) finished the championship with three goals.
In the run-up to the final, UEFA announced that they are changing the previous European Championship top scorer rule and will not use secondary factors such as assists or minutes played to award just one player if there is a tie on goals scored. Thus, all six players with three goals are the top scorers at Euro 2024. Curiously, Mikoutadze and Shrantz reached this goal tally in just four games, after Georgia and Slovakia were knocked out as early as the round of 16.
If the previous rules were valid, then the top scorer of the European would be Dani Olmo, who has two assists to his three goals. | BGNES
