Secret Service evacuated Trump after incident at Pennsylvania rally

Former President Donald Trump, the Republican candidate in November's US election, was evacuated from a campaign rally in Pennsylvania with visible blood on his right ear after explosions were heard, AFP journalists noted.

Reporters told CNN they heard "a series of loud explosions or loud bangs" before Secret Service agents rushed toward Trump.

"Agents rushed in and immediately covered President Trump." Residual rumblings were heard afterward, according to reporters.

"Agents grabbed Trump, who was seen pumping his fists in the air," the report added.

Donald Trump, who had just begun his speech, was immediately surrounded by his bodyguards, who escorted him from the stage to his car. He raised his fist in defiance to the applause of his supporters, adds AFP. I BGNES
