Second accused in Liam Payne's death surrenders to police in Argentina

David Ezequiel Pereira, 21, turned himself in on January 6 to police in Baracas, south of Buenos Aires, a police source said.
The second of two men charged in the death of British singer Liam Payne has surrendered to Argentine police. The two men are accused of supplying drugs to the musician before he fell to his death from the third floor of a hotel room in Buenos Aires, AFP reported.
David Ezequiel Pereira, 21, had turned himself in on January 6 to police in Baracas, south of Buenos Aires, a police source said.
Pereira was an employee at the Casa Sur hotel in the Argentine capital, where the former One Direction singer died last October.
Last week, police arrested 24-year-old hotel waiter Brian Pais - accused along with Pereira of providing drugs to Payne.
Three other people - Payne's representative in Argentina, the hotel manager and the front desk supervisor - have been charged with manslaughter in the case.
Prosecutors allege Payne used cocaine, alcohol and a prescription antidepressant before falling from the balcony of his hotel room.
Payne had spoken publicly about struggling with drug abuse and coping with achieving fame at a young age.
His death sparked global grief from his family, former colleagues and fans.
One of the world's highest-grossing touring acts in 2010, One Direction suspended operations indefinitely in 2016.
Payne enjoyed some solo success before his career came to a halt. | BGNES
