Ryan Reynolds has reacted to the fact that his wife Blake Lively's film 'Never Again' beat his Marvel blockbuster 'Deadpool and Wolverine' at the box office.
The 47-year-old "Deadpool" actor has raved about his wife after her romantic movie, in which she takes on the character of lead heroine Lily Bloom, outsold his superhero movie.
In an interview with the "Sunday TODAY" show, he said, "The only time in my life I've ever dreamed of staying second.
"That's always been a constant with Blake and [me] - that we really support each other."
On its opening day, "Never Again" grossed $24 million, while "Deadpool and Wolverine" grossed $15.7 million.
Blake, 36, recently revealed Ryan's "cute" nickname for her - explaining that he calls her his "knight in shining armour".
The former 'Gossip Girl' star explained she appreciates her husband's praise - from whom she has four children - because it reverses gender stereotypes.
She told the Sun newspaper, "My husband calls me his knight in shining armor, which I think is so sweet because we only hear about men who are like that." | BGNES
