Ruud van Nistelrooy made a successful debut for Leicester City as they beat West Ham 3-1 at home in a match from the 14th round of the Premier League.
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Netherlands top scorer was appointed as the Foxes' manager in the middle of last week and got off to a flying start at the King Power Stadium after veteran Jamie Vardy opened the scoring before two minutes had passed. Bilal El Hanous doubled the home side's lead in the 61st minute and Patson Daka sealed Leicester's victory in the final minute of normal time. Niklas Fülkrug scored the opening goal for the Hammers in the final minute of stoppage time.
Leicester City climbed to 15th in the standings with 13 points, while West Ham are one place higher with two points.
