The December 7 video conference call between the presidents of Russia and the United States was difficult, but it made it clear that the United States has no intention of continuing the dialogue, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"It was a harsh and uncompromising conversation on both sides," Peskov was quoted as saying by Russian state media.
He said that "on the American side, there has been a complete lack of willingness to continue the dialogue." According to him, "it has become clear that there is nothing to talk about with Washington."
Peskov emphasized that Moscow does not have a preferred candidate for the upcoming US presidential elections, but specified that "the Democratic Party is more predictable." | BGNES
