"Russia to Develop Military Response to Threat of US Plans to Deploy Long-Range Missiles in Germany".

This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov within the framework of the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum, TASS reported.

"Without nerves, without emotions, we will first of all develop a military response to the new threat," said the senior diplomat.

Ryabkov noted that the Pentagon's plans to deploy long-range missiles in Germany are aimed at harming the security of the Russian Federation.

"These actions are primarily aimed at harming the security of our country," the diplomat said.

He also called the Pentagon's plans to deploy long-range missiles in Germany one of the links in the escalation.

"The situation since the end of the Cold War has changed dramatically, and these actions are primarily aimed at harming the security of our country, whether as a result the chances of some kind of negotiations in the future will increase or they will fail completely. I think that this is a simple element of the operational course, one of the elements of intimidation, which today is almost the main component of the NATO and US line in the Russian direction. The nature of our reaction will be determined calmly, professionally," added Ryabkov. | BGNES
