The LA Lakers prevailed over the Milwaukee Bucks 123-122 at home in an intriguing matchup of the National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season. The Lakers were without their big star LeBron James, but that didn't stop them from getting the win against one of the best teams in the East.
Above all for the Californians was D'Angelo Russell, who finished with a total of 44 points, 21 of which came in the final quarter. Di Lo added six rebounds and nine assists. Spencer Dinwiddie blocked Damian Lillard's shot at the very end to give the home team the win. Anthony Davis finished with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura contributed 18 and 12 points, respectively.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double - 34 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists, but his efforts were insufficient. Lillard, who surpassed Reggie Miller for fourth all-time in made three-pointers, finished with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Pat Connaughton added 17 points, Malik Beasley and Bobby Portis finished with 14 each, and Brook Lopez scored 11.
Bucks are third in the Eastern Conference with a 41-23 record, while the Lakers are ninth in the West with 35 wins and 30 losses. The Lakers welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves in their next game, while Milwaukee has a visit against the LA Clippers.
