Cristiano Ronaldo's son, Ronaldo Jr., is increasingly confidently following in the footsteps of his legendary father. The Portugal star's biggest heir is now 13 years old and has come through the schools of Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United, and is now training at Ronaldo's current club Al Nasser's academy in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo Jr has ambitions to follow his father into professional football and is already showing some of the qualities he inherited. A video of the teenager's training has surfaced on social media, showing him scoring from a free kick with an extremely accurate strike that lands right in the corner of the goal.
Ronaldo himself does not like to talk about his son's prospects of following his path, but he once criticized him. "Sometimes I'm strict with him because he drinks Coke and Fanta, which makes me mad. I scold him when he eats chips, fries and all the things I can't stand," the five-time Ballon d'Or winner shared before time.
Ronaldo, 38, is known for his obsessive healthy diet, which he claims is the basis of his long career. The Portuguese international never allows himself to eat junk food, and separately invests heavily in his physical training and recovery, outside of daily training with his club team.
It all seems to be paying off as Cristiano Ronaldo finished 2023 as the world's top goalscorer. The Portuguese scored a total of 54 goals in the past 12 months, overtaking the likes of Harry Kane (52), Kylian Mbappe (52) and Erling Holland (50). /BGNES
