Ronaldo reaches 130-goal mark in Portugal win over Ireland

Portugal warmed up properly for the start of the European Championship in Germany after beating the Republic of Ireland 3:0 in their last friendly.

In Aveiro, the Sailors opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Joao Felix, and after the break it was time for the ageless Cristiano Ronaldo. The 39-year-old forward scored his 129th and 130th international goals in the 50th and 60th minutes to set up the classic.

Roberto Martinez's side begin their Euro 2024 campaign against the Czech Republic on June 18. The remaining two opponents of the Sailors in group F are Turkey and Georgia.

The Irish, for their part, will not be at the Europeans, turning their attention to the League of Nations in September, where they are in a group with England, Greece and Finland.
