Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother have been arrested in Romania on sex crime charges in the United Kingdom, police said, cited by AFP.
In a statement, police said they had executed "two European arrest warrants issued by the UK judiciary for sexual offences, for the exploitation of people within the UK".
A Tate spokesman said the brothers had been detained. They are awaiting trial in Romania on separate charges of human trafficking, rape and setting up a criminal group to sexually exploit women. / BGNES
