"Rocky" actor Carl Weathers has died at 76

American actor Carl Weathers died at the age of 76, AFP reported.
The actor is known for his role in the first 4 series of the movie "Rocky", where he played the boxer Apollo Creed.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Weathers," his family said.
"Carl was an extraordinary human being who lived an extraordinary life. Through his contributions to film, television, art and sport, he left an indelible mark and is recognized around the world and across generations."
