Arch-rivals Manchester United and Liverpool will face each other at Old Trafford in the FA Cup quarter-finals, following last night's draw. Last night, both teams achieved victories in their round of 16 matches.
The Red Devils were in serious trouble away to Nottingham Forest, but still managed a narrow 1-0 success through Casemiro's 89th-minute goal. The experienced Brazilian headed home after Bruno Fernandes' sharp cross from a free-kick. Liverpool's youth-laden squad were far more convincing at home to Southampton, winning 3-0. Substitute Jayden Dance scored two goals after Lewis Coomas had given the Reds the lead in the first half.
Chelsea also qualified for the quarter-finals after a 3:2 win over Leeds United at home. The Bulgarian national Iliya Gruev was not in the Whites squad. Wolverhampton also advanced to the next round after a 1:0 victory over Brighton at The Molineux.
