Senator from the state of South Carolina Tim Scott has decided to suspend his participation in the pre-election race in the United States. He announced this intention on the air of the Fox News television channel.
"It became clear to me that this is not my time, I have decided from today to suspend my campaign for the presidential elections. I think they [the voters] are saying: "Not now", - said the former contender for the presidential post from the Republican Party.
Earlier, former US Vice President Mike Pence also decided to suspend his participation in the US election race.
Scott entered the presidential race in May. The favorite in the race for the presidential nomination of the Republican Party in the USA is the former American leader Donald Trump. His rivals include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy. Pence was vice president in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2021. /BGNES
