The Minnesota Timberwolves achieved their first win since the beginning of the season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Wolves won their visit to the Sacramento Kings with 117:115.
Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards combined for 65 points. Randle led the way with 33 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists on 13/17 shooting and 5/6 from three. Edwards finished with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, and he also hit five 3-pointers. Naz Reed scored a double-double from the bench - 19 points and 13 boards. Center Rudy Gober finished with just 3 points but grabbed 11 rebounds.
Sacramento was more balanced, but eventually relented. Above all for the Kings was the new addition DeMar DeRozan with 26 points. Domantas Sabonis and Keegan Murray added 24 and 23, respectively, with Murray also finishing with 11 rebounds. Malik Monk scored 17 points, and De'Aron Fox finished with a double-double - 15 points and 11 assists, but their efforts were not enough for the Californians.
The Boston Celtics recorded their second consecutive win. The Celts were decisive again and defeated the Washington Wizards with 122:102. Jaylen Brown scored 27 points for the victory, and Jayson Tatum scored 25 and grabbed 11 rebounds.
