Ralf Schumacher revealed he is gay, his son congratulated him

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has revealed that he is in a relationship with another man.

The brother of the legendary Michael Schumacher did so with a post on Instagram. On it, Ralph is hugging an unknown man and they are both looking at the setting sun.

"The most beautiful thing in the world is to have the right partner by your side, with whom you can share everything," Schumacher, 49, wrote under the photo. Schumacher was married to Cora Brinkmann from 2001 to 2015, and they have a son, David, 22, who is also a racing driver. It was David who was one of the first to comment on his father's post. "I'm so glad you finally found someone you feel good and comfortable with, it doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman, congratulations and I wish you all the best," David wrote as a comment.

Ralf Schumacher raced in Formula 1 from 1997 to 2007 for Jordan, Williams and Toyota. He recorded six wins, 27 podiums and six pole positions. Michael Schumacher's younger brother's strongest season came in 2001, when he took three wins and finished fourth in the drivers' standings. | BGNES
