"Iran will respond to any action against our interests."
This is what Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said. His words came a day after Israel warned it would respond to the attack Tehran launched over the weekend, US News reported.
"We categorically state that the slightest action against Iranian interests will certainly be met with a severe, wide-ranging and painful response against any perpetrator," Raisi told Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
On the evening of April 15, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani said on state television that Tehran's counter-offensive after a possible Israeli retaliation would be "a matter of seconds, as Iran will not wait another 12 days to respond." /BGNES
