Catherine, Princess of Wales, has announced that she has completed chemotherapy for her cancer, the New York Times reported.
"As the end of summer approaches, I can't tell you how relieved I am to finally be done with chemotherapy," Catherine said in a video message.
“Now I'm focusing on doing everything I can to stay cancer free. Even though I'm done with chemotherapy, my road to recovery and full recovery is long and I have to keep fighting every day," she added.
The princess said she was looking forward to getting back to work and would have a light schedule of public events until the end of the year. She is expected to attend the war memorial service at the Cenotaph in November - one of the darkest dates in the royal calendar.
Kensington Palace, which houses the offices of Catherine and her husband Prince William, has not confirmed the nature of the royal's cancer.
In a video filmed last month in Norfolk, she described the ordeal she endured after being hospitalized in January.
"The last 9 months have been extremely difficult for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we had to find a way to navigate the rough waters and unknown path,” added Catherine. | BGNES
