Prince William is writing a foreword to a book written by the late Rob Burrow's widow, Contact Music reports.
The Prince of Wales has offered his support for Lindsay Burrow's book about her life with the rugby league star, who died in June at the age of 41, five years after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), and has written the foreword to Take Care: A Memoir of Love, Family & Never Giving Up, which will be published next February.
Lindsay shared a photo of the book cover on X and wrote underneath it, "Take Care will be published on February 27, 2025 and I'm happy to be able to share the cover with you. I'm honoured to say that the book contains a foreword written by HRH Prince William".
"Take Care is a memoir about love, family and never giving up. As well as telling our family story, I want it to highlight the work that so many carers in the UK do, in the hope that it will give readers and families hope to overcome the challenges in their own lives. You can now pre-order the book," she wrote.
Following the Leeds Rhinos player's death, William paid a personal tribute to Rob, declaring him a "legend" in the sport.
"A rugby league legend, Rob Burrow had a huge heart. He taught us that in a world full of adversity, we must dare to dream. Catherine and I send our love to Lindsay, Jackson, Maya and Macy," Prince wrote on the couple's Instagram.
The message was signed with the initial "W," as is typical of personal messages from the prince. | BGNES
