Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and his German counterpart Analena Berbock discussed military aid to Ukraine and support for Kyiv's accession to the EU.
This happened during intergovernmental consultations held in Warsaw, TVP World reported.
Sikorsky and Berbok agreed that aid to Kiev should be both political and military. The post-war reconstruction of Ukraine was also discussed, as well as opinions were exchanged regarding the possibility of supporting the country's quest for EU membership.
The two ministers said that the expansion of European sanctions against Russia is an important tool for putting pressure on the Kremlin, as well as ensuring the effective implementation of sanctions.
Top diplomats believe cooperation within the format of the Weimar Triangle - a regional grouping bringing together Poland, Germany and France - can be used to advance key issues for the EU's future, including European security.
Berlin also presented proposals for dealing with the challenges posed by the difficult Polish-German relations in history, as well as the challenges faced by the Polish community in Germany.| BGNES
