As reported by the president's press office, the two discussed the process of negotiations for the country's accession to the European Union, the current political events in North Macedonia and the current situation in the region
In this regard, information was exchanged on the next stages of the negotiations after the completion of the screening process and on the dynamics of implementation of the reforms, the announcement says. The upcoming EC report on the progress of North Macedonia as a candidate country, as well as the Western Balkans Growth Plan were discussed at the meeting, with President Pendarovski thanking the EU for its support and commitment to the enlargement and integration policy of the Western Balkan countries. At the meeting, opinions were exchanged regarding the strategic importance of the implementation of the changes in the Constitution and the further consequences for the European perspective of the country, the announcement of the presidential office states. /BGNES
