The 82-year-old Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney posted a Q+A on his official website on December 22, after wrapping up his UK 'Got Back' tour last week. The musician revealed he plans to "finish" his album next year.
One fan asked him, "Do you have any New Year goals for 2025?"
"Here's one: to finish the album! I've been working on a lot of songs and had to put them on hold for the tour. So I'm hoping to get back to that and finish a lot of those songs. So how about that? "My New Year's resolution is to finish the new album!". How about this teaser? You can do it, Paul!" the legend replied.
The music icon's final solo album is 2020's McCartney III, the long-awaited follow-up to 1970's McCartney I and 1980's McCartney II.
In 2021, McCartney teams up with stars like Idris Elba and Damon Albarn on "McCartney III Imagined."
Each of the tracks on the album were personally selected by the former Beatles member and include full covers, remixes and performances.
On the final date of his 'Got Back' tour at London's O2 Arena on 19 December, Paul played with Sir Ringo Starr for the first time in five years.
The former colleagues delighted fans with renditions of Beatles classics 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' and 'Helter Skelter'.
After performing the hits, the 84-year-old drummer said, "I'm leaving now, but I had a great night. It's been fantastic playing with my old friend, but there comes a time when we have to go home. All that's left to say is I'll see you next time."
The last time the two played together was on McCartney's 'Freshen Up' tour in 2019.
During his huge London concert, Paul also performed the Beatles' final song, "Now And Then". | BGNES
