Sir Paul McCartney reunited with former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr during a concert at the O2 Arena in London.
The drummer took to the stage to thunderous applause before the two musicians performed the classics Helter Skelter and Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
"I had a great night and I love you all," Sir Ringo later said as he walked off stage.
The performance was the last of Paul's Got Back tour, which has seen the 82-year-old perform in France, Spain and Brazil, the BBC reported.
Starr wasn't the only musical guest. Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood joined McCartney for a performance of Get Back, during which the latter played his original Hofner 500/1 bass guitar for the first time in more than 50 years.
The instrument was stolen in 1972, but Paul got it back earlier this year.
Paul and Ringo, who are the last surviving core members of the Beatles, have played together several times since the band's 1969 breakup.
That includes Ringo's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015 and Sir Paul's last tour, Freshen Up, in 2019.
Starr is known for treating his fans to performances of hits from his long musical career, which includes the band Wings and several solo albums.
Tonight was no different, as he played nearly 40 songs on a variety of instruments.
Other highlights included a performance of In Spite of All the Danger, the first song recorded by Sir Paul's first band, the Quarrymen, which included the late John Lennon and George Harrison.
He was joined by a children's choir to sing his favourite festive song, Wonderful Christmastime. | BGNES
